Global video conference to launch BCAW 2010

This is a global video conference to kick off Business Continuity Awareness Week covering the “what”, “why” and “how” of BCM. It will feature expert views and case studies drawn from 9 countries across 4 continents.


Participants include: Angela Robinson FBCI, Chair of the BCI; Lyndon Bird FBCI, BCI International & Technical Director; Dr Nader Mehravari, Lockheed Martin; Christine Holst, Statoil; Henry Ee FBCI, BCI Asia; Vikrant Varshney MBCI and Nitin Khanapurkar MBCI, BCI India representatives; and Kathleen Lucey FBCI, BCI Board Member. The event will be moderated by Steve Parks, former BBC TV and radio presenter.

Countries: Australia, Canada, Denmark, India, Norway, Singapore, Switzerland, UK and USA.

Discussion topics: organizational resilience, corporate governance, insurance-BCP link, supply chain, role of government and regulators, small business, academic activities, standards.

Case studies: Lockheed Martin and Statoil (1 other to be confirmed).
